Surprise visit HOME to Spokane!

Last weekend Haley's older brother Colton got back from his mission, so her and her cousin Kaylee had been planning to go home for his homecoming because Kaylee has a car. Haley was going to surprise her family in doing this. Also, another girl in my home ward, Katrina, was going to go along and go home too, and bring her friend Janie. As for me, it was mother's weekend and Sarah-mommy (lol) was GOING to come up and spend the weekend with me, but it wasn't going to work out. SO, since Janie decided not to go to Spokane, there was an extra seat and i just randomly decided to come along and surprise my family and friends too. We left friday evening after everyone's classes and 8 hours and $70 in gas later, we arrive in Spokane. Katrin and I didn't want to invade on their family reuinion, so we had my friend Jeannette pick us up and take us to Suncrest. So Kaylee dropped us of at Krispy Kreme and we waited for about 20 minutes looking VERY homeless. So we get to Suncrest and drop Katrina off and meet up with all our Suncresty friendsies and chill with them for a few hours. So then I get home, and I had previously talked to and coordinated a secret ninja entrance with my little brother Jakey poo. He took the screen off a back window and left it cracked a bit. I SO thought my little Kola squeeker dog would hear me and wake up barking and ruin everything, but to my surprise, she didn't. AT FIRST. Stinking dog. I was up around 5:45 going to the bathroom, and THEN she decided to freak out. She started growling and I froze, hoping she'd stop. but nooooo, she had to get LOUDER. So I ran upstairs as quickly and quietly as I could, but she now started BARKING, thinking i was an intruder or something. As soon as she realized it was me, she started whimpering and whining all excited like. NOT quietly. So i grabbed her out of the cage and ran downstairs, hoping no one had heard her little episode. About 15 minutes later i heard someone get up, and i hoped it was just to go to the bathroom and they wouldn't notice Kola was missing, because I had planned on waiting a few hours til she calmed down to go put her back. Well, it didn't sound like whoever was up was going back to bed. Dang. I was listening intently and then heard someone start coming down the stairs. Then i heard an urgently whispered "KOLA!" I thought maybe I could get away with just opening the door and letting her slip out. But my door squeeks. It was my mom who was looking for her, and she FREAKED when she heard the door open. Understandably. So i hurried and went out with Kola and lamely said, "Surprise!" haha. So she was pretty surprised, and came into my room and was talking to me a bit, discussing how i'd surprise everyone else. Apparently she was taking to long tho, and my dad came looking. He walked to the edge of the stairs and called, "SARAH! Did you find the dog?" At that point, I was struck with a brilliant idea of how to surprise my dad: I ran upstairs with Kola in a football hold and said, "DAD! Look I found KOLA!" He was very confused. He kinda took a step back and blinked, did a double-take, and demanded to know, "What are YOU doing here??" I said, "SURPRISE!!" He said, "No REALLY, what ARE you doing here?" I laughed and explained that I was home for a surprise visit as he gave me a hug and started smiling. Josh and Hailey had awaken in all the commotion, and my dad had to ruin it by telling them that I was there. They didn't believe him. Of course. So I went into their room and jumped on them. lol. We all talked for a bit, but it WAS 6:00 in the morning, so we all went to bed, and Josh and Hailey of course had to come with me, and I had a hard time getting their little yappers to close. In the morning, we all got ready and went into town, saw the new office my parents are moving in to, went out to lunch at HuHot with my dad's employee Kevin and his mom, and then had ice cream at Zips. I was saad that I didn't get to see Jake tho. Our plan for the rest of the day WAS going to be to go to Greenbluff and get pumpkins and stuff, but i wasn't really into that idea. so, we rented some movies and had had all my friends over to watch it with us. Overall, although it was short, it was a really good weekend and it was so nice to be home. :)

.:General Conference Weekend:.

The four of us girls went to Utah for this past weekend for general conference. haley's "friend" josh got us tickets to go to the sunday afternoon session, which was really cool. neither jamie nor i, had every been to temple square before either, so that was a new and neat experience for us. we left friday evening after all of our classes, and headed to bountiful utah, to stay with my great aunt lori, uncle mark, cousin chase's and cat isis' house on my dad's side. we met chase's friends and stayed up really late playing games and hanging out. the next morning they were going to take us out to breakfast but we had to leave pretty early, and i unfortunately even didn't get to see aunt lori before we left. we didn't know the way to provo, so i had to wake up chase. luckily for him, he decided to lock his door the night before, otherwise i would've just gone in his room and jumped on him. instead i had to resort to scratching on the door and saying his name in a really creepy voice. lol. so we got directions, said good-bye, and were off to provo to see nathan field and kyle durfee (guys in our home ward). they both gave us really big hugs and it was good to see them. we walked around in the park/ gardens with nathan. after nathan had to leave for conference, we went to aunt sarah and uncle ric's house and chatted with them for a bit, then headed to Lehi, UT where josh's sister lives to play games and eat ice cream. (and pet their BEAUTIFULLY AMAZINGLY PRECIOUS CAT!!!) i <3>

Just an update, all around

Ok, so all things worth mentioning since my last blog, in no particular order: Myla started "stalking" (she denies this accusation) this guy named Tanner. She looked him up on the student directory (AKA: "stalker-dot-net"). So, she knew his address. We decided to "heart attack" him, which is to cut out hearts and tape them all over his door. One of the hearts had Myla's phone # on it. Now they occasionally text (even tho Myla DOESN'T have texting lol) back and forth, and may meet in person in the near future...Last weekend Jamie and I (Haley and Myla were out on a hot date) were left alone, and wandered the campus late at night as losers looking for friends. Well, we got invited to a party, so we went and it was nothing special, and we met next to no one- hooray. Last night, Jamie was misbehaving, so we locked her in the linens closet on the top shelf, where she couldn't get reach the doorknob to get out. Today, Jamie was in the bathroom, and Haley broke in and started to take pictures; Jamie proceeded to cover herself with the shower curtain and try to pull up her pants, and then PLOP!! her phone fell right into the toilet she had just peed in!! Si-ick! After we composed ourselves, Jamie reached right in amidst Haley's gagging and grabbed the phone right out of there. It is now sitting in a bag of rice, which hopefully absorbs the pee and toilet water right outta there. Haha. This weekend the 4 of us will be heading down to the Provo/S.L.C./Lehi, Utah area for General Conference. We're going to visit some friends at BYU and I'm going to see Becca & Jeff, Katie & Jason, and hopefully Ric & Sarah too. (Not to mention the stinkin prophet!) THE END!
